nephthys

In Egyptian mythology, Nephthys is the Greek form of an epithet (correctly spelle Nebet-het, and Nebt-het, in transliteration from Egyptian hieroglyphs). Nephthys, therefore, is a member of the Great Ennead of Heliopolis, a daughter of Nut and Geb. Nephthys was the divine corresponding "power" (or completion) of her sister, Isis and, in a somewhat lesser fashion, the sister/wife of Set. Nephthys is only occasionally (and questionably) regarded as the mother of the funerary-deity Anubis.
