Jeffrey Scott Buckley (November 17, 1966 – May 29, 1997), raise as Scotty Moorhead, was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was the son of the late Tim Buckley, also a musician. Buckley gained popularity in the early 1990s by playing cover versions at venues in Manhattan's East Village, such as Sin-é, and he gradually focused more on his own material. After much interest from record labels he signed with Columbia and, after recruiting a band, recorded his debut studio album, Grace (1994).
