far cry

Far Cry is a first-person shooter computer game eveloped by Crytek Studios from Germany and published by Ubisoft on March 23, 2004 for Windows. Far Cry sold 730,000 units within four months of release and has currently sold over 1 million copies worldwide. The original game has since spawned several console ports and a movie. The game appears to be a demonstration of the CryEngine and though extensive has serious flaws for gaming. For instance, it is possible to disable the aiming reticle via the console, however, none of the gun models are finished to the point of being able to aim with "iron sights". In other words a lavish 3D setting is reduced to a 2D point and click shoot 'em up.
